ABOUT THE FAIR

More Than a Fair — It's a Tradition

Nestled along Highway 8 in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, the Rusk County Fair is one of the region's most beloved annual traditions — a celebration of agriculture, community, hard work, and good old-fashioned fun. Held each year on the second weekend of August, the fair brings together families, farmers, competitors, and neighbors from across Rusk County and beyond.

The fairgrounds spans 52 acres with dedicated livestock facilities for dairy, beef, swine, poultry, and horses — a testament to the agricultural roots that have always been at the heart of this community. From livestock shows and open-class competitions to Junior Fair exhibits, the fair is where the next generation of Wisconsin's agricultural leaders get to shine.
